Life is about choices, isn’t it? We make them every day. What clothes to wear, what to eat – we might also make choices what to do, where to go and who to be. One important lesson I’ve learned this year is that choices can change – and it’s never too late to make a different one.
I am a bit of a romance freak. Some days there is nothing better than cuddling into bed, putting on a great romance film and crying myself to sleep. I know that sounds ridiculous, but it’s true. I like to cry those big, ugly happy tears. The last time I cried those big, ugly, happy tears was when I watched The Notebook – a movie which quickly made it’s way into my repeat pile to watch over and over and over again (all the men sigh).
But it’s true – watching a romantic comedy is a great restart for me. It helps me to feel a range of emotions that sometimes I don’t make time for being a busy mom.
Everybody – when I found out that the same creator of The Notebook, Nicholas Sparks, also had another book which was being made into a film I just about screamed out loud, but I didn’t because that would be weird. Instead I did a little boogie dance in my chair and almost dumped my laptop off my lap onto the ground. Yes, I was that excited.
Do you know how long it’s been since I’ve seen a good movie that was animated? A LONG TIME.
Ready to watch the trailer with me?
So what do you think? Are you excited to make a date this weekend to watch The Choice? If you do join me this weekend at the movies, be sure to tweet me your reaction @raisingdickjane. I can’t wait to see if this movie is going to make it into my repeat pile.
