Did You Know Pickle Soup Was a Thing?
New things are constantly popping up and sometimes they make me pause – is that really a “thing” now? It can be hard to stay on top of all the new trends and to be honest – most of the time I don’t.
I do, however, know what I like! And when something comes across my radar that I think it totally fabulous, I’m the type to tell people about it!
So this month, I decided to quickly share with you a few things that have me (or my family) completely smitten in November. These are things we can’t stop talking about and with good reason.
5 Things We Can’t Stop Talking About in November
If you were to come to my house and sit down with me over a cup of coffee – these would probably come up in the discussion. So let’s do this right now. Go ahead, grab your coffee – I’ve got mine! Let’s get started!
1. You are a Badass at Making Money by Jen Sincero | Books to Read
When I saw a few of my friends post about this book on their timelines, I decided to give it a chance. I’m not gonna lie, I love self-help books! Although, if you are an avid reader you probably understand that finding a really good one (that doesn’t put you to sleep halfway through) can be tough!
But this book was great! Tons of useful and practical information about motivating yourself past what you’re already doing to be successful. This book is about taking your yourself and your story to the next level. It’s about believing in yourself and putting the muscle behind that belief.
I’m freakin’ ready to be a badass when it comes to making money! How about you?

2. Wine Shop at Home Tasting Parties | Things to Do
I recently got invited to my first Wine Shop at Home tasting party. Do you know what these are? They are in home wine tasting parties where you invite your friends over, drink wine with a wine consultant present, and then you can order your favorites to be shipped to your home later on.
Now, this is a party that actually makes sense.

3. Provide Diapers to Those in Need with Meijer and Huggies | Get Involved
As a parent, I can’t stand to see a child struggle in need. That is why I am excited to hear that we can easily have a hand in helping the 1 in 3 U.S. families in diaper need – this is the struggle to provide clean, dry diapers for their baby or toddler.
Through the No Baby Unhugged program, Meijer and Huggies will donate up to 400K diapers to the National Diaper Bank Network, with a portion going directly to the Metropolitan Detroit Diaper Bank. This program will also help to ensure babies across the nation receive the diapers they need.
How can you help? Now through December 23, for every package of Huggies diapers purchased at any Meijer store, Huggies will donate a day’s worth of diapers and Meijer will donate $1. These donations and proceeds will go to the National Diaper Bank Network and locally to the Metropolitan Detroit Diaper Bank.
4. Pickle Everything! | Tasty Foods
Am I the only one a little bit obsessed with pickles this month? No, I’m not pregnant but I am seriously craving pickles. So, in honor of National Pickle Day on November 14th, here is our recipe for homemade pickles!
