Lately, more than ever before, I’ve been turning to time spent in my car as a moment to escape. It’s a moment outside of my home, no news or phone distractions, just time to listen to the music I like to hear. This week I was given the opportunity to partner with A Girls Guide to Cars to experience the new Lincoln Revel pairing. Through a week-long test drive in the 2020 Lincoln Aviator, I was able to explore first hand how Lincoln and Revel Audio have teamed up to offer upgraded, luxury sound in vehicles.
While driving, we typically have the choice to listen to whatever we want. Calming meditational sounds, feel-good melodies, or energy pumping beats. With Revel QuantumLogic 3D Surround, available in Lincoln vehicles, we now also have the choice of HOW we want to experience our music.
What do I mean by that? With QuantumLogic 3D Surround, Lincoln vehicles give me the option to listen to music through three different listening modes: Stereo, Audience, and On-Stage. I consider these three modes for my many different moods.

Sanctuary Sound for When You Just Need a Moment to Yourself
The world is noisy. Don’t you think? As much as I love my family, sometimes my home can be overly noisy too. It’s during these overwhelming moments that sometimes I just need to step away and breathe.
With “Stereo Mode,” I can experience subtle sounds, without overpowering noise combating my thoughts. To me, this reminds me of a friend who is willing to just sit beside you when you’re going through tough times. Never needing to say a word.
To that same note, through my test drive experience, I learned that Lincoln now has up to 20 speakers in their vehicles! While driving the Aviator, I could definitely hear the sound perfection that this many speakers present, however, the speakers themselves are beautifully hidden within the vehicle. I spotted three speakers in each door, but they seamlessly fit right into the design of the vehicle. It definitely is a beautiful pairing where the speakers disappear and all you experience is great sound.

Sometimes Loud is Good
Do you remember going to your favorite concert, back when concerts were happening? The music engulfed you. It uplifted your energy and made you feel like dancing. This is how I liken “Audience Mode” in Lincoln vehicles, to being at a concert.
Audience mode is perfect for when you want to feel your music. One way Revel and Lincoln are helping bring concert-quality music to your vehicle is through CLARI-FI technology. This tech gives you back the full sound that is lost when mp3 tracks are compressed for sharing over digital platforms. It brings music back to what the artist intended you to hear. And there are tons of other cool new technologies built into this collaboration between Revel and Lincoln that you can read more about here.
New Experiences Are Still Happening
The final mode available through QuantumLogic 3D Surround in Lincoln vehicles is “On-Stage Mode”. This mode pulls you into the center of the sound with complete immersion, just as if you were on-stage with your favorite artist. Here you’ll experience the boundless depth and endless detail of the music. This is the mode I use when I’m all alone and belting out my heart out. It’s the mode I use when I feel like I can do anything, the moments I feel most alive.
Understanding the different dimensions of music is a lot like learning the different dimensions of yourself. Are you always the same? No way! For this reason, I love the depth and personal attributes this new collaboration between Lincoln and Revel offers all of us.
Learning to Listen to What Matters with Lincoln Revel Audio Masterclass
Learning to sit back and unwrap the different layers of sound takes practice. This week, I was able to sit in on a digital preview of “Elevate Your Experience: Tasting and Listening” masterclass with Revel Audio which helped me understand how to actively listen to the different sounds of music. Plus, it compared different sound attributes to different types of chocolate. Yep, they went there and it totally makes sense!
How does chocolate compare to music?
